I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Thank you to those of you who have already registered for year five of the Dismantling Racism Prayer Movement. There is still time to register!. Please see the below information which includes the registration link. We hope to see you there!
In 2024/25, these virtual gatherings will meet monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at 1:30pm eastern, for 75-90 minutes.
Our initial gathering will be Tuesday, September 10th, when we will pray into the ongoing work of dismantling racism with renewed commitment. We will also take time to honor and pray for our dear brother and colleague, Rev. Jeremy Simpson, as his tenure as Director of Diversity and Belonging concludes at the end of the month. Please come as you are able - we understand this is during the traditional work day and some may only be able to step away from your responsibilities for a brief time.
This prayer movement is part of the Dismantling Racism initiative begun in June 2020 by the Rev. Dr. Denise Victoria Kingdom and her 1 Cor. 13 Project. We gather together in a humble posture of prayer because apart from God we can do nothing.
Please fill out this registration form and share this invitation with your network. All who have an open heart for prayer are warmly welcomed - lay people, pastors, ministry leaders, ecumenical friends, siblings in Christ from all walks of life and callings.
We look forward to continuing the dismantling journey together ~
