While I hate to see the summer go, I do enjoy the routine that fall brings — kids are back to school, everyone is settling in and your calendar is likely full of meetings and extracurricular activities for your child.
I hope you’ll
make time to
attend our PTSA meetings
and your student’s class
parent
forums and dinners
. PTSA meetings provide an opportunity to meet and connect with other parents and hear first-hand what is happening in and around Langley, and class forums and dinners provide all the information you need to know, specific to your child's grade.
Our first of five
PTSA meetings was yesterday and there are only four more over the rest of the year — on
Nov 13, Jan 15, March 11 and
May 6. Class forum and dinner dates are listed on the
PTSA
website under each class tab.
Another important meeting
you may want to follow or attend is the
FCPS School
Board
meeting
tonight,
Thur, Sept 12 at Jackson MS, 3020 Gallows Rd at 7:30 pm.
Dranesville Representative, Jane Strauss, is expected to propose to amend the current
Capital Improvement Program, recommending school system staff to begin studying a boundary adjustment between
McLean HS and
Langley HS. After its introduction, the amendment would need full school board approval on Sept 26 to be implemented. Click
here for more information and to see the meeting agenda.
