One of the advantages of being an "experienced" electrician is I have seen some technology come and go. My 1902 home has natural gas run alongside knob and tube directly to all the light fixtures, at the time they probably thought they were future proofing. Nobody knows which way the wind blows for EV car adoption. Will there be ICE vehicles in 10 years, will it be all EV, will humans even be the drivers? If anybody tells you they know the answer, they are delusional or selling something, or both.
