Nate has new wheels!
Nathan Gonzalez (recipient 2008) just received this new wheelchair that climbs stairs, can clear an 8 inch curb, he's pumped! Gifted by the non-profit Soldier Strong, Nathan promises to take this on many an adventure. We know he will! Living in a wheelchair for the past 20 years, he says it's the best one ever! Happy for you Nate! I want a ride in that cool El Camino behind you!
Congratulations Avery and Cole
Look who got married! We met Avery Downing as a recipient in 2016, an amazing young lady who's gymnastics career changed after a fall from the parallel bars. Besides diving she took college by storm and played basketball, and now its so nice to see these beautiful pictures.
Cole, we welcome you to the crew, do you dive???

The 2022 Unleash your Inner Pirate trip sets sail Sunday!
We have six new recipients to celebrate, and we hope you will join us in cheering them on next week through our emails and social media. We will be coming to you live from our awards ceremony to draw the winner of the quilt raffle and the deep down challenge, both you still have time to participate in!

Ways to Play the Deep Down Challenge
Now until Next Thursday any and very pirate is invited to raise money for our recipients on this year's trip and rally for bragging rights and a commodore membership.

Buccaneer Barb created her own challenge page, put it on LinkedIn and vowed to match any donation. Funny how peeps are jumping in to see how much she has to pony up... she's passed $1000 and climbing...

Ed Shearer writes his friends, tells them about this year's recipients and asks for their support by sending in checks to the foundation with his name in the memo, that personal request goes a long way...

I went the FB route, and making a few dollars...
Some are asking their friends to look us up on Venmo, and put their name in the memo/note section for Deep Down Challenge...

Lots of ways to rally, what can you do in a week???
