Hey,

Today’s Vault is about something I've probably relied on more than almost anything else over my lifetime:

GOAL SETTING.

Whether it's January 1st...

A wedding coming up...

Losing 30 lbs...

Building a business...

Hitting a financial target...

Or trying to hit a baseball...

I've learned there are two very different types of goals.

OUTCOME GOALS

These tell you where you want to go.

Lose 30 lbs.

Bench 300 lbs.

Hit .300.

Save $100,000

Finish a degree.

They're important.

But there's a problem...

You can't directly control the outcome.

PROCESS GOALS

These tell you what you're going to DO to get there.

Train 4x/week.

Hit your macros 6 days/week.

Take 300 swings/week.

Save X dollars every month.

Study 3 hours every night.

Those you CAN control.

And if there's one lesson that's followed me throughout my life, it's this:

PROCESS > OUTCOME

I learned it young.

I was never naturally the smartest guy in the classroom. But I figured out pretty quickly that I could outwork people.

So I committed to the process.

That eventually led to a 96% average coming out of high school, university scholarships, multiple degrees and Dean's List honours.

At 19, while still in university, I started my first business.

My first major goal?

Recruit 200 people by the end of the summer.

I wrote it down. Looked at it constantly. Built my days around it.

I finished with 199.

One short.

But it was enough to lead the company nationally—and eventually I was involved in recruiting and leading 700+ staff 3 years later.

The same philosophy followed me into 180° Fitness.

Business targets. Quarterly reviews. Investments. Strength goals. Physique goals.

And, more importantly, helping clients take an outcome like:

"I need to lose 40 lbs."

…and reverse-engineer it into nutrition targets, workouts, steps, habits and accountability they can actually execute.

And recently I was reminded of it again through something I absolutely LOVE:

Baseball.

Years ago I was essentially a PO — Pitcher Only. When I did hit, I was barely a .150 hitter.

Last season?.438.

And now hit over .300 in each of my last four seasons. That didn't magically happen.

What nobody sees are the countless hours of work when nobody was watching.

Thousands upon thousands of swings.

Training.

Failure.

Adjustments.

And hiring coaches who knew more than I did.

From the old Dingerz days to Coop, Roch Seguin, Steve Spooner and Sebastian Boucher.

I've done the exact same thing in business—learning from coaches like Dan Sullivan, Joe Polish, Bedros Keuilian, Craig Ballantyne and Nick Elliot, Jean-Luc Bissionette.

Because another lesson I've learned:

You don't have to figure everything out yourself.

Find people who have already done what you're trying to do.

Build the process.

Then do the work.

TODAY'S VAULT

I'm giving you TWO of the goal-setting resources I use with my own clients.

1. The 180° Fitness Goal-Setting Workbook

This walks you through identifying what you really want, finding your WHY, making it specific and measurable, establishing a deadline, identifying potential barriers and creating your action steps.

2. The 2026 Goal-Crusher Guide

I particularly like the section on Baseline vs. Stretch Goals.

Your baseline is what you're committed to doing even when life gets crazy.

Your stretch goal is what you're capable of when conditions are ideal.

That's powerful because it eliminates the all-or-nothing mentality.

Miss the stretch? Hit the baseline.

Just don't stop.

Download them. PRINT them. And actually write in them.

Don't just read another ebook and forget about it.

Pick an outcome. Write it down.

Then ask yourself:

"What PROCESS would make this outcome almost inevitable?"

Commit to that.

The results will follow.

P.S. — One more thing...

With our 19-Year Anniversary tomorrow, I'm also quietly opening up our anniversary offers today.

This is the soft release before I push them out publicly.

If you've been thinking about getting back into 180° Fitness, adding Personal Training, getting your nutrition back under control—or simply making the rest of 2026 different than the first part...

Today's a pretty good day to set a new goal.

And maybe this time...

Don't just set the goal. Build the process to achieve it.
