Special University News and Updates

From I.M.M. President Michelle Angela Behr

2026-NEW BEGINNINGS

Including the September International Convention
and Formal Cap and Gown Graduation News!

On behalf of the board of directors and the staff of the International Metaphysical Ministry (IMM) and its educational divisions, the University of Metaphysics (UOM) and the University of Sedona (UOS), we wish you a blessed, peaceful, healthy and prosperous New Year, filled with renewed hope, positivity, new starts, and excitement for the personal and spiritual goals you want to achieve in the year ahead. It is also a time to reflect, recognize that good comes from every experience, and ponder what we can do, individually and collectively, to make the world a better place. We are all connected, so what affects one affects us all. Every day, we are humbled and in awe as we see the impact our members are making across the world with the degrees they have earned through our university system. They are truly making a difference and uplifting humanity, as they shine their lights brightly and in some instances, bravely across the world. We thank you.

We express our gratitude to our students and graduates for their continued support throughout 2025. Without it, we would not, or could not, have the opportunity to continue the legacy and teachings of our beloved Dr. Paul Leon Masters. We are blessed to be the guardians and take this responsibility seriously and to heart. It is also a time for us to celebrate, with reverence and honor, the 10th anniversary of Dr. Masters' transition on January 10, 2016.

We miss his physical presence in the office, his words of wisdom, his infectious laugh, and the care and thoughtfulness he extended to all the staff and everyone who knew him, but we know he is helping to guide us from the other side. Dr. Masters loved his students and graduates, and nothing made him happier than knowing they had achieved their degrees. Dr. Masters took great delight in signing degree diplomas and would bless every graduate as he did so.

Since 1959, he has devoted his life to researching and raising human consciousness and developing a time-tested metaphysical curriculum that will always stand the test of time. A pioneer in this field, he established the first self-paced distance learning metaphysical university, the University of Metaphysics, in 1976, which grew into the largest, with thousands of diverse ministers and graduates in over 125 countries, representing every faith, religion, and spiritual belief and path.

In 2003, Dr. Masters founded the University of Sedona, choosing Sedona as our operational headquarters for its beauty and mystical, spiritual energies. Importantly, the IMM respects the individuality, independence, and freedom of expression of its graduates, ministers, practitioners, counselors, and teachers. Members have great latitude in how they teach and even the nature of their teachings. The IMM encourages independent research, diverse points of view, and the use of individual talents and modalities, which, at this time and a pivotal point in history, are particularly important as our members endeavor to spread awareness, their knowledge, raise consciousness, and be examples of goodness, kindness, hope, and love across the world.

As we reflect on 2025, we know it was a challenging and turbulent year on many levels, especially financially for so many people. We want to help as many people as possible achieve their spiritual and academic goals, as well as their journey of self-discovery and personal development. We also intend to grow our student body so they can blaze a trail of light as they carry their torches and, in doing so, ignite other torches across the world as we live through these unprecedented times.

To achieve this, we are excited and delighted to share the following, including information about our international convention and a formal cap and gown ceremony scheduled for September. Your success is our success, and we could not do this without you and your support. We are all in this together.

We are a 501(c)(3) religious nonprofit corporation that receives no federal funding. We depend entirely on contributions from members in the form of enrollments, tuition, IMM affiliation payments, donations, and from our Alumni, PWMA, and AMDA Association Members. Through their generosity and kindness, and with the intention of passing the gift of their scholarship forward, we continue to provide scholarships to all enrolling students, with proof of income not required. We strive to keep Dr. Masters' wishes to offer affordable tuition to everyone seeking a metaphysical and higher consciousness education worldwide.

Please continue reading below to learn about all the new and exciting things we have to share with you.

A Message from our Board of Directors

Greetings to all of IMM's graduates, students, and staff. Wishing everyone a joyous and abundantly prosperous 2026. This last year presented many challenges due to the difficult economy, and inflation – these have impacted everyone. To meet these challenges head-on in 2026, IMM is returning to our previous scholarship tuition rates and, in some instances, improving them, helping our students continue their ministerial and spiritual education.

At IMM, we feel blessed to have a vast number of graduates and students touching the lives of those searching for spiritual connection and peace in their lives – and this is not just a neighbor or nearby spiritual group or community, this is the outreach from all of you who globally touch so many who are experiencing spiritual emptiness. We hope you will all continue to bring your spiritual light and integrity to those you know and to the many you meet who are looking for that connection to feel spiritually rejuvenated. It is very easy for all of us to let the world's chaos, negativity, and hate pull us down into personal darkness.

Yet it is just as easy to draw on Dr. Masters' teachings and spiritual messages for guidance, upliftment, and connection to the God within or to the Universal Presence. It is also helpful to remember Eckhart Tolle's recommendations for daily guidance during challenging times: practice and apply non-attachment, non-judgment, and non-resistance. Read into those what you feel works to help you and everyone you touch rise above the darkness that resides in negativity. Continue to hold the banner of personal integrity and truth to light your way where you stand and where you step forward. All of us can shift the global energy with love, kindness, and compassion – these fuel the torch that lights our way. May your 2026 be one of the highlights of your lifetime as you continue to bring light and love to the world with truth and integrity, the two cornerstones that anchor our spiritual worthiness.

In gratitude for all you do for the world,

Constance Patrick

Vice President

It is my pleasure to add my greetings to everyone involved with IMM.

Over the past 30 years, as part of this ministry, I have seen the wonderful effects the International Metaphysical Ministry has on the lives of many students and graduates. I was honored to receive my ordination as a metaphysical minister in 1996, which led to my Master's and Doctorate degrees, and to serving as an associate minister with Dr. Masters.

I join you in the joy and satisfaction I know you will experience. May your life be filled with happiness and peace, and may you achieve "success" as you individually define it. May God, as you understand God, guide you always, and may God's light within you bring forth God's light in others.

Dr. Dick Caldwell

Board Director

The IMM wishes you a Happy New Year. As you become more whole, so will those around you. We look forward to working with you to achieve your goal and "ours," as well, to create a world of broader peace and understanding.

By choosing to follow the inspirational lessons and words of wisdom of Dr. Masters and by studying his words and understanding his messages, you will walk a path of goodness and bring hope for a better world.

While physical science is moving increasingly to an acceptance of multi-physical universes, mystics—having long since known this—are aware of an even greater complexity: numerous nonphysical dimensions within each physical dimension.

Expanding this reality from a collective one to each individual’s human reality, there comes a realization to every soul on life’s eternal path that they and all other human beings exist in different dimensions simultaneously. An expansion of inner awareness brings the realization that the soul, or true Self, exists in many dimensions, in several different expressions of beingness.

Our Student and Graduate Reviews

A Trustpilot review by Rev. Denise Kelly Castner

I completed both my Bachelor’s degree and Minister Program

I completed both my Bachelor’s degree and my Ministry through this institution, and I can honestly say it was a deeply rewarding and meaningful experience. The curriculum is intellectually rigorous while remaining accessible, especially for those drawn to metaphysics, spiritual philosophy, and conscious leadership. The material is thoughtfully structured, expansive, and encourages genuine inquiry rather than rote learning. I felt supported not only academically, but personally, throughout the entire process. What truly stood out to me was the level of support. Anytime I had a question—whether academic, administrative, or procedural—the staff was consistently kind, responsive, and genuinely helpful. There was never a sense of being rushed or dismissed. They clearly care about their students and about the integrity of the work being done. This program allowed me to integrate higher education with spiritual study in a way that felt authentic, grounded, and empowering. Completing my Bachelor’s degree alongside my ordination as a metaphysical minister was both an educational milestone and a personal achievement I deeply value. I would highly recommend this institution to anyone seeking serious metaphysical study, ministry training, or spiritual education within a structured academic framework. It was a great experience from beginning to completion.

Thank you 😊 🙏

A Google review by Janetira Raya

My experience with the University of Sedona has been deeply meaningful and transformative. The programs offer a unique blend of spiritual psychology, holistic studies, and personal growth that goes beyond traditional academic learning. The coursework encouraged deep self-reflection, inner awareness, and practical application in everyday life.

I appreciated the flexibility of the programs, which allowed me to study at my own pace while integrating the teachings into real-life experiences. The materials are thoughtfully designed, well-structured, and aligned with holistic and spiritual development. The emphasis on consciousness, emotional healing, and mind–body–spirit connection made the learning both enriching and empowering.

The University of Sedona is especially valuable for those seeking personal transformation, spiritual insight, or complementary knowledge to support healing, coaching, or holistic practices. It is not just about earning a degree, but about evolving as a person and gaining clarity, compassion, and purpose.

Overall, I am grateful for the education and inner growth I experienced through the University of Sedona, and I would recommend it to individuals who feel called to a holistic, spiritual, and consciousness-based approach to learning.
