Homeowners Association Info

Alleyways are One Way

This is for everyone's safety. While the directions will not be perfect for everyone, it is very important that you only go the correct direction.

Trash and Recycling

The city admitted to some confusing information over the past two weeks. No notifications were sent by the Association over bin location during the ice storm. However, everything should have been picked up this week. If it wasn't, please contact your provider.

Please store your bins out of view if you are in a single-family home (no alley).

If you are in a Condo or Townhome (alley), you may store your bins at your garage door. You may not store them at or in the alleyways. The wind is too intense and the alleyways are too narrow. Plus, this is the only additional location the Board has approved as the documents state you must keep them out of view at all times.

Spring is Coming!

Believe it or not, our weather will not stay cold too much longer. February is a short month. March should show us some warmer temps to allow for Spring Sprucing. See last year's newsletter for relevant tips.

Native Milkweed

The Monarch Sanctuary Project made a big announcement! Look out for their huge giveaway, plus you should be able to find native milkweed at Hutto HEB soon!

Monarch Sanctuary Project

Townhomes

Reminder: Your front yards are mowed and edged, as-needed. Plants, trees, and anything else are not part of the contracted services. That includes the rocks that line your driveways.

Please make sure your yard is free of clutter, scat, and toys. The landscaper will not enter your yard if it is not in serviceable condition. At that point, you will be responsible for mowing and edging.

Townhome DAD

See pages 5 and 35 of the document linked above for the definition, as well as the responsibility chart.

Community Standards

Next week's drive will focus on some Board requested items. Please take care of what you can this weekend to avoid having a notice sent.

Tree Pruning

Pruning is essential for the tree's health. Hire a certified arborist, or make sure you research before you prune them yourself.

If you have suckers along the trunk, please remove these. The larger they become, the more energy it pulls from the true branches.

All trees should be worked up to a 6-8' canopy base as the tree matures. If the tree is along a sidewalk, they need to be pruned up to 14' to allow safe passage of school buses, delivery trucks, etc.

Homes in Phases 1 & 2

If you have not removed your tree stakes, please do so now. Leaving the stakes on your trees hinders their health.

Tree stakes should be removed by 1-2 years of your tree being installed.

Winter Decor

Winter decor must be removed from your yard and the roof. Winter wreaths on the door are ok.

Please add January 15th recurring to your calendar - this is the deadline every year.

This will be a 2nd notice.

Fence Stain

Most fences need to be stained, as they are showing wear. Please use the approved color: Wood Defender, Color: 200 Series, Semi-Transparent Sierra.

Dead Trees

These must be replaced with the same species. Otherwise, please submit an Architectural Review Project. Use the City of Hutto's UDC to select your Native Tall Tree.

Is your tree dead and you can't replace it yet? Please remove it and send the Association a message so we can notate your account with your action plan.

Aster Weed

While it may look pretty while in bloom, it will take over your entire yard. Once the blooms die, they become a woody, ugly mess. Unfortunately, our yards are required to be mostly sodded.

Wet the yard well and pull these weeds before they spread.

Trash/Recycling Bins

Store them out of view when it is not trash day.

If you have an alley, you may store them on the driveway near the garage door.

This is most likely to have fines attached if you have received notices within the last 6 months.

Weeds in the Rocks

Spray a post emergent &/or pull these weeds and grasses out of the rocks.

This will most likely have fines attached if you have received notices within the last 6 months.
