“For nearly 100 years, the Sachs Foundation has worked to ensure that Black students across Colorado have access to the opportunities they deserve. At the heart of that mission is a belief that excellence can be found in places that are too often under-resourced and overlooked. The Reisher Scholars Program shares that same vision, finding untapped talent and investing in students’ potential. That alignment makes this partnership especially meaningful. We are grateful to be an Opportunity Grant recipient and excited to be expanding that work together.”
– Ben Ralston, President and CEO, Sachs Foundation
We're honored to share that the Sachs Foundation was recently selected as one of six Opportunity Partners to receive an Opportunity Grant from the Reisher Scholars Program at The Denver Foundation. This one-time grant will allow the Sachs Foundation to award additional undergraduate scholarships to incredible Black students from across Colorado, expanding the reach and impact of our work.
Beyond ensuring these dollars directly support students, we are committed to raising awareness among our scholars and the broader community about the support the Reisher Scholars Program provides. While many scholarships help students start college, Reisher helps them finish, providing financial support to students midway through their undergraduate journey at one of their nine partner universities throughout the state.
The program supports Colorado students who demonstrate academic and leadership potential, whether entering as rising sophomores at a partner university or transferring from a community college as juniors. Beyond financial support, Reisher invests in students who are committed to making an impact in their communities. We encourage you to read more about the Reisher Scholars Program here.
We are deeply grateful for this partnership and know that this collaboration strengthens our collective commitment to advancing access and equity for students across Colorado.
