Earlier this month, Starbucks' new CEO, Laxman Narasimhan, officially took the reins from interim CEO Howard Schultz.
Schultz had returned to Starbucks (at its Board's request) to help the company navigate numerous challenges, including a unionization push by baristas.
It's no surprise, then, that one of Narasimhan's top priorities is to reestablish trust between the company and its workforce.
What is surprising, though, is how he's chosen to accomplish this -- and that's the focus of our lead story.
