Because Presbyterians get messy for worship

On World Communion Sunday, kids at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Austin got hands-on learning about the meaning of communion and made the bread they shared together during a worship service.

Retirement Blessings for Laurie

Laurie Palmer is retiring at the end of this year, and next week's meeting will be her last Presbytery meeting with us! Please join us in celebrating her service and wishing her well as she begins this new chapter.

We invite you to send Laurie a card with a favorite memory, a word of thanks, or a retirement blessing. Please bring your cards to the meeting and look for the basket, or mail them to:

Mission Presbytery

c/o Melody Gonzalez-LP

7201 Broadway, Ste 303

San Antonio, TX 78209

Cards are warmly encouraged! In lieu of gifts or monetary contributions to Laurie, she has requested that donations be made directly to local food pantries—a meaningful way to honor her while caring for our neighbors.

Thank you for helping us surround Laurie with appreciation and warm wishes!

Whose Face Is on Your Life?

Rev. Bobby Musengwa

Transitional General Presbyter

"The coin has Caesar’s face on it. You have God’s. Jesus isn’t dividing our lives between faith and public responsibility. He is challenging us to consider who has the final claim on our lives—and whether our decisions are shaped by fear or by our identity as beloved children of God."

This week, we are praying for Trinity University in San Antonio. Please join us in prayer for the students, faculty, and staff who make up Trinity's community.

Because Presbyterians love blessing the animals...

...and being blessed by our animals. In churches throughout the presbytery, Blessing of the Animals events gave blessings to dogs, cats, reptiles, and all sorts of friends, including this good buddy at First Presbyterian Church in Kerrville.
