Why Newark Catholic?

New promotional video explores this important question

We're excited to shine a light on all that's special about Newark Catholic through a new promotional video created in partnership with NC alumni and current Bowling Green student, Nick Windholtz (class of '24).

As part of a college class assignment, Nick needed to partner with a client to create a professional quality video, and we're delighted he chose Newark Catholic! The full video truly captures the essence of Newark Catholic, and we plan to feature shorter clips throughout our channels to offer glimpses of our very special school and entice families to experience it themselves.

Students offer prayers for 1 million+ souls!

Earlier this month, NC students reached an impressive milestone: As a student body collectively, they prayed 1 million souls into heaven through the prayer of St. Gertrude. In celebration, students enjoyed an ice cream sundae bar.

St. Gertrude Prayer. Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

Life After NC Panel Discussion

For high school students, the "real world" is right around the corner! To help NC students prepare, Senior Therese Fullenkamp worked with Dr. Roberts (NC's school-based clinical counselor and art-therepist) and her assistant, Abby Caskey, to pull together a panel discussion focused on life after Newark Catholic. The panel featured the following members, all of whom are NC alumni:

  • Abby Caskey, attends The Ohio State University for Psychology
  • Anne Scarberry, attends Ohio University for English Literature
  • Sam Vincent, attends Ashland University for Digital Media Journalism
  • Mark Jewett, attends Pontifical College of Josephinum and is currently a Seminarian in the Discipleship stage

Panel members fielded questions that students submitted in advance.

Donate blood in memory of

Mackenzie Butler and Brooklyn Stanley

This blood drive, sponsored by the Licking County Health Department, is held in loving memory of sisters Mackenzie Butler and Brooklyn Stanley, graduates of Newark Catholic High School, who tragically passed away in an accident on February 14, 2026. In their honor, we invite the community to come together and give the gift of life. Each blood donation is a meaningful way to remember Mackenzie and Brooklyn while helping patients in need.
