Our spring break reading bingo challenge is almost done. If you did not have a chance to get a bingo card, you can get one here and finish it up this weekend. Bingo cards to be signed off by parents and brought in on Monday. The scavenger hunt is available here, and the reading review form can be filled out once you are back in school! Lots of great prizes up for grabs.

If your student wants to login to SORA, the information is as follows:

Username = first and second letter of first name/period/last name.

Password =student id number (on your student card).

FOOD ART!

Visual Arts 10 students began their photography unit by examining how food is made to look so good on magazine covers. They learned about various techniques, analyzed several different examples for lighting, shadows, colour and shape, and textures. Students began bringing in their own food choices Thursday to create their own photo shoot, directing other students how to hold their lights, background, etc. to make their own magazine covers. The best part? Eating afterwards!

YEARBOOK IS ALMOST READY

The yearbook club is working hard to finish this year’s yearbook! If you have not bought your copy yet, now is the time when they are only $50.00. After May 1, the price will jump to $60.00 a copy!

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

We had a farewell lunch for Mario Perez last week. Mario has been with our program for 3 months and is now returning to his home country of Panama. Farewell Mario!

A group of International Students, Maria, and Mr. Bertolucci headed up to Big White for a couple of days of skiing and hanging out. It was a blast!
