Welcome to August and let's finish the summer Strong!

This month we have two exciting programs - our grant with NAHB for a program with the Boys & Girls Club and of course Our Annual Bowling Tournament.

Our Boys & Girls Club project will take place at the Indio clubhouse on August 12th & 13th. We will be introducing the construction industry and a variety of career opportunities to the kids in the programs, as well as doing 2 hands-on projects - birdhouse builds for the younger kids and cornhole boards for the older ones. Kids will get to build these projects from scratch, learning about tools, reading plans, and teamwork to make it all work together.  At the end of the 2 days, kids will get to take home their birdhouse projects, and the cornhole boards will be ready for team or individual play.

Our 13th Annual Bowling Tournament is always a great time - so dust off those funny shoes, get on that team shirt, and sign up today.... You don't want to miss out on getting bragging rights as the top team for the year! Register via the links in the invite below.

In Remembrance 

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Former DVBA President & Current Board Member - Joseph Hayes. Joe passed away on Wednesday July 30th. Joe served with the DVBA for over 15 years, both as a Board Member, then President and retained his seat with the DVBA till his passing. Joe was a valued member of the First Bank team and we will all miss his quiet manner and thoughtful engagement with our Association. He is survived by his wife Nancy and close friends & other family members. Final arrangements to recognize Joe are pending at this time.

Taste of Summer Rancho Mirage started July 24th and runs through August 17th 2025. Purchase your $10 event wristband and wear it to all participating Rancho Mirage locations to be eligible for their Taste of Summer Rancho Mirage exclusive specials. All persons who wish to indulge in the tasty offerings must have their own wristband to be eligible. Show your love and support to our Rancho Mirage eateries this summer during the annual Taste of Summer Rancho Mirage event. Enjoy!
