VOLUNTEERS ARE THE HEART OF RESCUE!!
This was the theme as Foothills Canine Rescue gathered for its annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Sunday, November 5th.
It was a gathering to celebrate the numerous efforts and successes made by the rescue’s many volunteers throughout 2023. Attendees included foster families, medical team members, shelter staff members, dog walkers, and retail staff members, as well as the wonderful family and friends who support these dedicated volunteers. It was a fun evening that allowed all to gather and socialize while enjoying fun door prize drawings, a delicious BBQ dinner, and a massive cake for dessert.
The main speaker, Executive Board President Suzanne Mathews, spoke of the many accomplishments and changes that occurred throughout the year, as well as her hopes for future growth. Among other high points, the rescue saw great success in its second year as a physical shelter and had record sales in the resale store.
Board Member Tara Smith also spoke on behalf of the board, giving a well-deserved tribute to President Mathews for her many years of service and dedication to the rescue.
