The Story of Ed Livingston
As told by his wife, Marcia.
Ed Livingston was a retired Army Colonel whose life revolved around his grandchildren and golf. He was quick-witted and sarcastic, very smart, and had a keen sense of humor.

Ed and his wife, Marcia were married for 32 years. She was the household “administrator” and he took care of the bigger picture. While they were opposites in many ways, they connected through shared values, sense of family, and love of country.

Ed and Marcia were devoted to the Southeastern Guide Dogs (another Florida nonprofit organization dedicated to serving people who are blind or visually impaired). When Ed suddenly passed away, it seemed like fate that Ed was able to donate his corneas.

“Of the four organs that Ed was a candidate to donate, his cornea donations felt like a wink from God that he would forever live on.” – Marcia Gosline, Ed’s wife

After Ed passed away, Southeastern Guide Dogs named a puppy, “Eddie” in honor of Ed and all that he did to support people who are visually impaired. Marcia continues her and Ed’s loving work supporting people who are blind and visually impaired through her charitable giving and volunteerism.
