We are honored to recognize Kinsey Fabrizio, President of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), as the winner of the Exceptional Leader Award in Technology. As president, Kinsey plays a central role across industry and government in building collaboration, setting trusted standards - including how emerging technologies can protect consumers while continuing to innovate, and advancing CTA’s mission to improve lives through technology. All while leading CES®, the world’s most powerful tech event.

Under Fabrizio’s leadership, CES 2026 marked a new high point for the global innovation ecosystem. She has been instrumental in positioning CES as a platform where global business gets done, policy conversations take shape, and responsible innovation takes center stage.

What is your personal story — how did you find your purpose and your passion?

I’ve always been fascinated by technology’s ability to improve lives and move society forward — and nowhere is that more evident than in digital health. It’s my favorite category of technology because it puts people in control of their own well-being. Not long ago, the only way to measure your health at home was with a bathroom scale. Today, thanks to innovation, we can track sleep, heart rate, activity, recovery, blood glucose, stress, and more — all from wearables. It’s amazing to see consumers empowered to understand and manage their own health in ways that were once unimaginable. That’s what excites me most about technology: its power to solve problems and drive meaningful progress.

Early in my career, I worked in conflict resolution and developed a deep appreciation for connection and collaboration — with people, ideas, and solutions. When I joined CTA, I saw how technology and innovation could do the same: bring people together to create positive change. I realized quickly that CTA was a special place where my passion for connection and my purpose in advancing innovation could come together.

What led you to the leadership role for which you are being recognized?

I’ve built my career at CTA around collaboration and amplifying the incredible work of our industry. I helped launch CTA’s Digital Health Division to showcase how technology empowers people to take charge of their health, and the Content and Entertainment Council to unite the content and tech communities around new ways of creating and sharing stories. I also helped establish the 4K Ultra High-Definition definitions and logos, creating global consistency and consumer trust.

One effort I’m especially proud of is leading the creation of the first and only voluntary industry principles for the privacy and security of personal health data generated by wearables. It’s a model for what responsible, forward-thinking innovation can look like.

My path to leadership has been driven by curiosity, collaboration, and a genuine respect for the people I work with. I’m fortunate to work alongside some of the brightest minds in technology, people who are solving real-world challenges and shaping a better future.

As we celebrate America’s 250th, what is your highest hope for our democracy?

I hope America continues to lead not just in technology, but in innovation across education, healthcare, the workforce, and ideas. Our democracy thrives when we engage in open dialogue and when we use technology to connect rather than divide. My hope is that we continue to empower the next generation of innovators and leaders who will keep America strong, inclusive, and forward-looking.

How can GlobalMindED inform, advance, and/or multiply your mission?

GlobalMindED is a natural partner in advancing innovation for all. By connecting educators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and changemakers, GlobalMindED amplifies the mission I’m most passionate about - CTA’s mission: to improve lives through technology, innovation, and growth. Together, we can ensure that as technology reshapes our world, it creates opportunities for people from all backgrounds to participate, lead, and thrive.
