  • Biller Genie, a Miami cloud-based e-invoicing platform for businesses, on closing a $3.5 million seed round from Henry Helgeson, Harish Nataraj, and Newtek Business Services.
  • Strategio, a Miami startup improving representation, equity and inclusion for women and people of color within enterprise IT, on raising a $2M seed round from Hydrogen Group.
  • TrustLayer, a Tampa automated software insurance verification platform startup, on raising a $15.1M Series A round leb by Craft Ventures with participation from exisitng investors Abstract Ventures, Box Group, Propel Venture Partners, NFP Ventures, Sure Ventures, and Jeff Vinik along with new investor, PruVen Capital.
  • Anchor Yacht Rentals, a St. Petersburg boat and yacht rental startup, on raising a $2.5M seed round from Silverton Partners.
  • Airspan Networks, a Boca Raton 5G wireless company, on merging with blank check company New Beginnings Acquisition and going public on the NYSE in a deal that values the venture at $822M.

  • Flamingo Capital, a Miami founder-focused startup investment syndicate on AngelList, forms with 200 investor LPs from Miami and around the world.
  • Entrepreneurs who have recently relocated to Tampa Bay pitch their startups during the Grit Daily Congressional Startup Day and pitch competition event.
  • On the heels of its corporate move to Miami, the defense-tech startup Red 6 wins a $70M contract from the U.S. Air Force to commercialize Red 6’s augmented reality platform for combat pilot training.
