Spring Cleaning

March is a great time for spring cleaning, but our work to keep our voter roll clean goes on all year. We update our voter roll daily to remove voters who have died or become ineligible to vote, and to update voter addresses that we know have changed. We also contact voters who we think may no longer be living at the address where they’re registered. (Watch Keeping the Roll for more about that.)

Here’s how you can help:

1. If you have moved or changed your name, visit VoteHillsborough.gov/VoterLookup to quickly and easily review and submit updates to your information.

2. If you receive mail from our office, please take a look at it and contact us if we need to correct any of your voter information.

3. If you get mail for someone who doesn’t live at your address, don’t just throw it away. Mark it “Not at this address – return to sender” and give it back to the post office.

3, 2, 1 ... Time's Up!

You may remember that I challenged Hillsborough County elementary and middle school students to design a new “Future Voter” sticker. Well, today is the deadline! We’ve already received some terrific entries. I love seeing the creativity and passion of our young artists. By next month, we’ll have chosen two winning designs (one elementary and one middle schooler) to make into stickers, and we’ll be recognizing the artists in front of the School Board. Congratulations to the yet-to-be-announced winners – stay tuned!

The Last Word

Only voters who reside in the city limits of Plant City are eligible to vote in Plant City’s municipal elections. Not sure if you’re in or out? Think about who provides your trash pickup or law enforcement, take a look at our municipal district map, or just give my office a call to find out if you live in the municipal district.
