griefHaven Introduction to Dr. Ken Druck:
Dr. Ken Druck is the recipient of the prestigious Distinguished Contribution to Psychology award for his groundbreaking work on healing after loss. Dr. Druck has inspired and guided clients, communities, readers, audiences, and the public for over 45 years with his work. Ken’s books, including The Secrets Men Keep, How to Talk to Your Kids, Healing Your Life After the Loss of a Loved One, The Real Rules of Life, Courageous Aging, and Raising an Aging Parent speak to the core issues in all our lives.
His new book, How We Go On: Self-Compassion, Courage and Gratitude on the Path Forward is about meeting the “What Now? Moments” in our lives. How we go on after a loss, change, challenge, crisis, or opportunity, and whether we summon newfound courage, patience, strength, and understanding determines the quality of our lives and defines our character.
His programs on “Living Courageously” are based on his personal journey after the death of his daughter, Jenna, who passed in 1996, as well as his incredible work on the front lines and in the trenches after tragedies like 9/11, Sandy Hook, Columbine, and most recently, Israel.
Ken has been the keynote speaker for the 1st, 10th, and 22nd anniversary of 9/11 which just took place in New York.
Ken does programs for the United Nations, Harvard School of Public Health, University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, and Young Presidents Organization. His work is featured regularly on CNN, PBS, Fox, and network specials on resilience, as well as in our nation’s top social media sites, newspapers, podcasts, and magazines.
Whether you’re reading Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper, The Costco Connection, Publishers Weekly or The Wall Street Journal, Ken is often featured in the headlines.
