Arena Renovations Underway
Exciting improvements are underway at the arena as the Township continues its commitment to enhancing local facilities for all users.
One of the first updates completed this summer was a much-needed upgrade to the stairs leading to the Norduff Room. The aging carpet has been replaced with durable vinyl tread, offering improved grip, easier cleaning, and increased longevity. This update not only gives the arena a fresh look but also supports safety and functionality for the many visitors who use the space year-round.
We're also proud to share that the Township has received a grant from Employment and Social Development Canada to support further renovations—specifically, upgrades to the main floor washrooms to make them more accessible. This is a significant step toward ensuring that the arena is welcoming and inclusive for everyone in our community.
Looking ahead, the rubber flooring throughout the arena is scheduled to be replaced in September, just in time for the upcoming ice season.
These upgrades are part of the Township’s ongoing efforts to maintain and modernize our recreational spaces, ensuring they remain safe, accessible, and enjoyable for generations to come. We thank the community for their patience during renovations and look forward to welcoming everyone back to a refreshed and improved arena this fall!
