I'd like to point out, for anyone keeping score at home, that we should have been allowed to stay later at last night's board meeting but there was a mix-up and, even though our permit indicated we'd have the room until 9 PM, securitya had misconception that it was 8:30 PM. Apologies to all who were negatively impacted by the abrupt shut down. In the hope of making up for it, I asked the elected officials offices that were prevented from addressing the board to send along information, which I have included, below.

Obviously, as a board with 47 different people, it’s hard to reach absolute consensus on such complex issues where certain aspects will end up being binary or zero-sum choice. Therefore, I remind everyone that you may, also, submit your personal comments about the Gowanus Environmental Impact Study until May 27th via email.
