Little Free Pantry – A Shared Ministry

Located on 4th Avenue next to the Common Ground Garden and accessible from the parking lot and sidewalk, our bright red Little Free Pantry runs on a simple idea: Take what you need. Give what you can. There is no single organizer—this is a shared effort, and everyone is encouraged to help!

How to Help:

  • Stock the Box: Place non-perishable food or hygiene items directly inside the box, or use the donations stored at the church (available during office hours).
  • Check & Tidy: Add items when shelves are low and straighten up when you pass by.
  • Use & Share: Take what you need, leave what you can.

Thank you for taking a turn to keep the shelves stocked!

Special Thanks:

  • Deacon Sam (vision & construction)
  • Mike Faruqui and Danny Morgan (painting & staining)
  • Shelton Signs (signage donation)

Back to School Ice Cream

St. John's children and youth--and Father Chase--enjoyed ice cream at Tess' Place on the first day of school. Only 174 school days until last day of school ice cream!

Livestream Ministry Needs Your Help!

On Sunday mornings and special service days, St. John's Media Ministry offers those who can't be at church the gift of the livestreamed service. People confined to home, traveling, or parishioners who have moved away are so appreciative of this way to stay in touch.

Our ministry is asking for some help! A person is needed at services to run the livestream, which has been streamlined to a simple process and a page of bullet points. It can even be done from an iPad in the pew!

Ideally, the ministry has a group of people to stream in rotation. It's a great way to be of service, especially for digitally native young people—or any age person willing to try something new—and with a good roster, your Sunday could be 1 in 6 weeks.

On Sunday, stop by the Acolyte room on your way to the Nave; Ann or Kevin can show you the set-up. For more information and to get involved, email Ann Stewart.
