If you are in town this weekend, please beware of the Shady Rest Project closures around Shady Rest Park. Forest Service is conducting forest health and fuels reduction work with vegetation thinning, removal of dead and downed material, shrub reduction, and burn pile construction. The Shady Rest Park area is used at the start and finish of all our courses, so please avoid the area until the closure is lifted on Sept 15, 2026.
We are in close contact with Forest Service about this and will release our final routes on Sept 15 after confirmation of the closure being lifted. Tree debris and road conditions will dictate the final singletrack section en route to the finish line.
