At Olive we continue to strive to better our people and to help them become their best at what they do so we can provide the best service possible to our clients. This past year we were recognized for the years of effort with an award as one of the Best Places to work in Colorado Springs! You can read the article from the Gazette here. This is a great commentary as to how our entire team operates. It is also a reflection on the more than a quarter of a century of service in the Colorado Springs market.

For those interested in Dave's thoughts on how to be one of the best places to work, you can read an article he wrote earlier this year for the Colorado Real Estate Journal. Click here to read it.

As we move into 2021 and continue to keep our businesses working in a difficult environment, a little help is often needed. Did you receive a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) last year with the first round of government assistance? Have you applied for loan forgiveness? You must apply and be approved for forgiveness - it is NOT automatic.

If you have not received notice from your bank, do not wait. Get in touch now with your bank and your accountant to get the proper paperwork accomplished.

Still need assistance? Round two is now out there. Call your bank and see if you are eligible. More information is available at www.sba.gov. For more local support for the city and other agencies visit: Colorado Springs COVID-19 Response: Helping Businesses

We continue to trust that this new year will be better than the last and that the more we lend a hand to one another, the better it will be.

To our restaurateurs …. A special note. Like many during this pandemic you have been hit especially hard. While rules and regulations seem to change daily there is some recent relief available. El Paso County has approved a special program to allow additional capacity for restaurants, and other selected business like gyms and personal services. More information is available from the Colorado Spring Chamber at: 5-Star Program Launches in El Paso County For other business there are also special programs to help that the chamber has noted for grants, loans and other special assistance. As many of you know there is much happening in Colorado Springs. From new buildings to expansion of the city….. just look NORTH & EAST !.... to rebuilding of our roads. For a quick peak at some of the changes on the north end take a look at what is happening at the Northgate section of I-25. A new exit is under construction that will hopefully alleviate congestion and provide a much needed East West connection to the Powers Corridor.

Below is the the revised Northgate exit and phase one of the Powers Boulevard extension to I-25. Video links will show you both the progress to date and an animated flyover of the view after construction is completed.
