Neighbors Enjoy Social Outing to Hummingbird Festival

A woman shows off her new hummingbird earrings at the Marketplace

The July Social Outing took participants to the Sedona Hummingbird Festival where they shopped at the Festival Marketplace and enjoyed one of the presentations.

The Marketplace filled the atrium of the High School Performance Center as well as a section of the gymnasium. Earrings were a popular item for the women. Elaine shows off her purchase in the video, above. There was a great variety of hummingbird feeders and yard decor as well as hummingbird inspired art and crafts.

After an hour or so of roaming the Marketplace, participants were ready to sit back and enjoy a lecture. The presentation they attended was "Seeking Arizona's Hummingbirds" by Rich Armstrong. "The presentation was an excellent and thorough overview of the hummingbirds that are Arizona's treasure!" says attendee, Carolann.

Before going to the festival the group had lunch at Chipotle in Sedona.

A big THANK YOU to Alice Madar and the Hummingbird Festival for providing tickets and hosting this outing.

The outings are scheduled each month. For more information see vvcaregivers.org/social-activities. Neighbors & volunteers interested in joining can contact Heather Smith at (928) 204-1238 Ext. 8117.
