KGOU, Home Creations, and RFBO team up for a

Season of Giving

Thank you to everyone who participated in Giving Tuesday! It was a great day that kicked off our Season of Giving, an end-of-year fundraising effort and community partnership. Thanks to you, we're almost a quarter of the way to our goal of 500 donors by December 31st!

For this Season of Giving, when you donate, you're helping two organizations offering vital services. For every individual donor to KGOU, residential builder Home Creations will give $20 to both KGOU and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. If we reach our goal of 500 donors, both nonprofits will receive an additional $10,000. That's equivalent to 30,000 meals served to Oklahomans in need, in addition to sustaining this station's operations and programming.

To honor our partnership, KGOU and Home Creations volunteered at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. Altogether, we bagged over 16,000 lbs of apples! It was an age-old adage in action: many hands make light work. That's how it works at KGOU, too. When you give any amount, you join a powerful collective that keeps this station running -- and for this Season of Giving, your single gift benefits two organizations. Contribute today and have your gift amplified.

Sunday Radio Matinee:

Seeking Common Ground: Conversations Across the Divide

Over the last few years and through this year’s contentious election season, there has been a coarsening in the way many Americans talk to each other. For a special post-election series of reports, "Seeking Common Ground," NPR asked reporters across the network to report on people working through their differences. Now, in this hour-long collection of some of the more compelling of these stories, you'll hear how some are trying to bridge divides. Tune in on Sunday, December 8th, at noon.
