Happy Wednesday!
I am doing my article early this week as I am in Arkansas this week for my employer. This coming Sunday I will be preaching from Psalm 50: 14-15 and it will be based on an attitude of thanksgiving. I invite you to read the Psalm several times and discern on your own what it means to you and we can see if we match on Sunday.
As you can tell we are in the time to be praying about our church including finances and time/talents. Its known as stewardship. We will culminate all of this on December 6th during our stewardship Sunday. Giving cards will be able to be picked up November 15th before and after worship in the Narthex and those not picked up will be mailed out on Monday. I ask for you to pray on how you will respond this year. I know times are difficult but I ask you to pray on your giving both financially and time resource wise.
The confirmation class will be serving during the month of November and plans are to confirm them on Sunday December 13th during our worship service.
We also have some tentative plans to assist some families in need this Advent/Christmas season so if you know of a family struggling let me know.
If anyone needs me while I am out this week, call and leave a message and I will respond as time allows.
