Reminders for you!
Packet pick up for both MARATHON WEEKEND AND DOGWOOD take place on Friday, October 30, 2 PM - 6 PM and Saturday, October 31, 10 AM to 5 PM. We will be in the John A. and Genny Morris Conservation Center, behind the Bass Pro store on Sunshine and Campbell Avenue. Take a few minutes to walk through the Expo! Several of our sponsors will be with us including Dr. Loehr's team. Ask them any questions about stretching, rolling or taping for your events.
Be prepared:
- Wear your mask as you enter and through the expo/packet pick up.
- Temperatures will be taken before you enter- must be below 100.4.
- Have your picture ID ready when you enter to make pick up more efficient.
- The expo will be excellent and all vendors will be masked; Fleet Feet will be there in force with great specials.
- Do not spend more than 15 minutes with a vendor.
- We are meeting all local and state guidelines with regard to COVID-19.
We will do our best to get everyone through packet pick up efficiently. You will stop to receive your bib printout before we send you through the expo. We appreciate your help and your patience.
-
Both Marathon Weekend and Dogwood Canyon are SOLD OUT! There will be no onsite race registration for any event.
-
There is NO RACE MORNING packet pick up. We have never had race morning pick up for most distances so this is not a big change.
- The Expo center will not be open on race morning, nor will the Bass Pro Shops store. Runners will line up outside the store and the general campus. Dress for the weather!
- Spectators will be asked to wear masks while at the start and finish as there will be congestion in those areas.
- We will use both drive lanes in front of the Bass Pro store to start this year so spectators are invited to line Campbell street and socially distance.
NO GEAR CHECK
There will be too many people race morning for this to be organized in a way that allows for social distancing at the start. We will offer this again in 2021.
RACE START TIMES
- Marathon and Relay- 6:45 AM
- Cohick Half Marathon- 7:00 AM
- News-Leader 5K- 7:15 AM
You will be organized into corrals; corrals will be marked with both race distance and starting order. Your bib will reflect your corral assignment. The corrals will be built to socially distance and it is your responsibility to distance within your area. See the map below to determine where your event corrals are located.
These will be moving corrals. When your race distance starts, we will start moving the corrals forward in a rolling start. Remember, your time does not start until your bib crosses the start line.
We suggest participants park in the lot to the west of the John A. and Genny Morris Conservation Center. There will be also parking available in the Bass Pro Shops Cherokee lot and near the Outlet Store. Generally, there is parking in many businesses near Bass Pro Shops as well.
