Sea Pines CSA Board of Director Election Information

The use of online Electronic Voting for the Sea Pines CSA Board of Director Elections was approved at the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors Meeting held on June 29, 2021.

We will be using a 3rd party Elections Administrator to handle our voting process. Additional information on how to vote either online, by phone, or by requesting a paper ballot is forthcoming.

In the meantime, please ensure we have your current contact information on file by October 1st (date of record), so you don’t miss any upcoming Sea Pines CSA communications regarding the CSA Board of Directors Election. Click here to update your contact information online.

October 1, 2021: Sea Pines CSA Application by Petition deadline
November 1, 2021: Sea Pines CSA Board of Director Election Voting Period Opens
December 1, 2021: Votes must be received by December 1, 2021, to be valid.

Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors Meeting Held 9.28.21

On September 28th, the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors met and covered a number of important topics. A recap of the meeting action items, a link to the meeting video as well as timestamped links can be found here.

From the Sea Pines CSA Maintenance Department

North Sea Pines Drive Phase 2 Roadway Reconstruction Underway

Tree work continues along the project work zone.

Drainage demolition and construction are underway near Red Cardinal Road & Beachmarker 39. The work in this area will continue throughout this week.

Erosion control will be installed at the beginning of next week in select areas of the roadway, leisure trails and Beachwalks along North Sea Pines Drive.

Work will be performed Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm. Flag persons will be present to control traffic, as needed.

Motorists should expect traffic delays. The project area is considered an active work zone. Please use caution while driving in this area. To avoid the project area, please use the main gate located on Greenwood Drive.

Signage has been placed throughout the work zones and at various locations within the community, to communicate project messages.

Please observe and obey all traffic management personnel, signage and devices.

Demolition Project of Gallery of Shoppes Building Located at 14 Greenwood Drive

Sod installation was completed on Wednesday, September 29th

Mulching is anticipated to be finished by the end of the week.

Sea Pines CSA Maintenance Projects Around the Community

Roadside mulching

Roadside mulching will begin along Lighthouse Road from Plantation to Fraser Circle the week of October 4th, weather permitting. Flagmen will be present as needed to assist with traffic flow. Drivers should use caution in these designated work zones.

Stormwater Ditch Cleaning

Ditch cleanout on Heritage Road was completed this week (pictured). Ditch cleanout behind Otter Road and Newhall Road will begin the week of October 4th, weather permitting.

Lagoon Tree Trimming

Lagoon tree trimming behind South Sea Pines Drive and Lawton Canal Road was conducted this week (pictured).

Beginning Tuesday, October 5, work will begin in the Sea Pines Forest Preserve near the Rice Dyke Trail.

The Rice Dyke Trail will be closed during this project (Tuesday-Wednesday)

Roadway Repairs on Lawton Drive

Roadway repairs are scheduled for Tuesday, October 5th on Lawton Drive (near Hilton Head Prep). Flagmen will be present to assist with traffic flow as needed.

Leisure Trail Asphalt Repairs

Leisure trail repairs are scheduled next week along Acorn Lane, Tupelo Road, and Lighthouse Road and also between Gleneagle Green and Plantation Drive. Leisure trails will remain open and we ask that pedestrians and bikers proceed with caution.

Safety Reminder from Sea Pines Security

Remove the opportunity for theft: Secure your vehicles (lock your doors and roll up your windows) and remove personal belongings from plain view when leaving vehicles unattended.

Town of Hilton Head Island Animal Beach Visiting Hours Reminder

October thru March

Dogs allowed anytime on a leash or under positive voice control

Additional Regulations

Animal excrement must be removed and properly disposed of from the beach
It is illegal to allow pets to chase or harass wildlife

Enforcement

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Department and Town of Hilton Head Island code enforcement officers patrol the beach and enforce all beach regulations.

As mentioned in the Finance Director Report at the September Sea Pines CSA Board meeting, if you have not paid your 2021 Annual Assessment, a lien may be placed on your property. For information on how to pay your 2021 Assessment fee please click here.

Land Use Rules and Regulations Property Appearance Reminders

HVAC units, propane tanks, pool pump equipment, and other similar storage receptacles must be screened from view with a small service yard.

Power washing is an effective way to refresh the look of your home, driveway, and/or fence and helps to remove any exterior mold or mildew.

Please remember to submit an ARB application to obtain the necessary approval for any/all exterior projects or repairs and please ensure any and all necessary work permits are visible from the road. Sea Pines CSA To Host Deep Well Donation Event

The next Deep Well Donation Drop-off event is scheduled at the Sea Pines Community Center Parking Lot (71 Lighthouse Rd. Suite #120) on Thursday, October 7th from 8:00 AM to Noon.
