2024 Spring

President's Message

Dear Members of the WCCFA,

As the days grow longer and the warmth of spring envelops us, we are reminded that Memorial Day is just around the corner. This upcoming holiday weekend not only marks the beginning of summer but also serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women. It is a time when families come together to honor the memory of their loved ones and pay tribute to our nation's heroes.

In anticipation of this significant occasion, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your tireless dedication to our cemeteries, funeral homes and communities. Your hard work and commitment ensure that our parks are ready to welcome families and visitors who seek solace, reflection, and remembrance.

As we gear up for the busy Memorial Day weekend and the influx of families visiting our cemeteries, let us take a moment to reflect on the importance of our role. We are not merely caretakers of grounds and facilities; we are stewards of memories, custodians of legacies, and providers of comfort during times of grief.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of preparations, let us never lose sight of the true significance of our work. Let us remember the families we serve and the profound impact we have on their lives by preserving the memory of their loved ones with dignity and respect.

I also want to bring to your attention some upcoming events within our association. Keep an eye out for information on our June webinar coming out soon! Additionally, I encourage you to register for our annual conference taking place this August. It promises to be an enriching experience filled with valuable insights, networking opportunities, and professional development.

In closing, I want to express my deepest appreciation for your unwavering commitment to our shared mission. Together, let us continue to uphold the traditions of honor, compassion, and service that define our profession.

Warm regards,

Candace Aramburu
