Casa Lola Opens During LIC Springs! - May 20

Please join us in welcoming a brand new restaurant to Long Island City. Casa Lola will open on Saturday, May 20 (the same day as LIC Springs!) at 47-46 Vernon Blvd. Valentina is bringing seasonal, authentic, classic tapas and a regional Spanish wine bar to LIC, all inspired by her grandmother’s cuisine.

“We are old school tapas, nothing reinterpreted. The classic tapa. Those pure, intense, bright and colorful flavors. We are full of passion because we are in love with this project. We can’t wait to make people feel at home as much as Lola made everybody feel at home.” Details

Calling LIC-Based Artists! Dog-Inspired Installation Coming This Summer - Deadline May 19

LIC Partnership invites LIC and Queens-based artists to apply for our new public art project, A Dogs Life, debuting this summer.

As part of a four piece installation, the selected artist will create a design that will be printed onto a vinyl wrap covering a 35″ H x 12″ W music box. The design should be inspired by the artist's relationship with Long Island City, and reference local landmarks, LIC history, community and more. See full call for artists here.

The LICP street pole banner campaign returns! The new banners feature a return to our original logo and color scheme, with crisscrossed lines symbolizing the dynamic mixed-use nature of LIC, and greens and blues representing LIC's parks, waterfront and buildings.
