Action Item: Community Service Day Registration
Xavier High School’s annual Community Service Day is November 9, 2022. This is a wonderful day of service for our Saints out in the community. All students must be registered by their parents in order to participate.

Parents need to complete their student(s) registration for Community Service Day by Monday, October 3.

Please also consider joining us as a parent driver for the day! This day is not possible without the volunteers who are willing to drive our students. It is a great day of service and fun! *We are in need of extra drivers this year due to buses being unavailable.

For families with siblings, please complete this form for EACH STUDENT.
New: Emergency Alert Test
Today at 3:00pm we will be sending a test message of our alert system to parents and students who have cell phone numbers listed in PowerSchool. If you receive this message you are all set to receive weather related announcements and other important alerts this school year via text. We have also added the student cell phone’s that are in PowerSchool.

If you did not receive this test (or received it and do not wish to) please fill out this form to make edits.

Please contact Meg Hansen if you have any questions at: meg.hansen@xaviersaints.org
New: #BenchBadBehavior
Please read the recent Op-Ed article regarding fan behavior.  This is part of the NFHS national campaign, "Bench Bad Behavior"  The article can be viewed here.

Here are a few key points:

  • With no high school officials, there can be no high school sports
  • Officials are leaving the profession faster than new ones are entering it.
  • 55% of officials say verbal abuse from coaches, parents, and fans is the #1 reason they quit.
  • Everyone involved in high school sports — parents, coaches, administrators, fans, and the media — must turn their focus to supporting the student-athletes playing the games and away from criticizing the individuals officiating the contests

Reminder: Key Club
Key Club is an international organization that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character, and develop leadership by serving children and our communities. Senior members set a goal of 10 service hours and freshmen, sophomores, and juniors set a goal for 8 service hours through our events.

A parent or guardian may sign up each student for Key Club by paying the $15 dues here: https://xavierhs.8to18.com/accounts/login. The deadline to sign up for Key Club is September 30th.

Any questions about Key Club may be directed to the Key Club Moderator, Mrs. Gina Kutilek at gina.kutilek@xaviersaints.org
Reminder: Progress Reports
We value the academic success of all of our students here at Xavier as well as the success of all of our activities. As a means of maintaining consistency and keeping up with academics, we will begin to run progress report grading the first Monday of each month (10/3). A reminder that those kids who receive an "F" on the progress report will be academically ineligible for 7 calendar days starting on the first Wednesday of the month (10/5) through the following Tuesday (10/11). Make sure to work with your kids and have your kids work with their teacher to get assistance in their academics. Kids should also communicate with their coaches and moderators if they miss practice in order to receive academic assistance.
