FACE Family Connect Program Named 2023 Promising Partnership Practice
DPS is excited to announce that the FACE Family Connect Program was recognized by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) as a 2023 Promising Partnership Practice. The ninth annual collection highlights how Colorado schools, districts and other educational organizations partner with families and the community for student success.
"Having our work published along with other strong community models signifies that our dedication to creating strong connections between families, schools and the broader community is making a real impact and validates the hard work, commitment and innovative approach our team and partners bring daily," said Adella Arredondo, Executive Director of FACE.
The FACE Family Connect Program is one of 40 practices to be recognized this year -- an incredible achievement that showcases the importance of this program’s work. Congratulations to all those who dedicated their time and efforts to help make this program become a big success!

Jilly Veidenheimer
Social Worker, Summit Academy
Integrity
“Jilly comes to work every day and demonstrates integrity with her students and her staff. She will always stand up for the right thing, even when it is hard. Jilly works frequently to support positive behaviors in classrooms and spends the majority of her time in the classroom to support educators by modeling how to support positive behavior. In addition, Jilly holds others accountable by demonstrating integrity day in and out. Jilly always does the right thing, even when nobody is watching and I admire her integrity.”
