Jenna has always known she enjoys being around children. Today, she gets to put that interest into action every week as an Assistant Teacher at Celebree School of Northbrook.

Through TotalLink’s Discovery process, Jenna explored her interests, strengths, and goals for employment. One goal stood out: she wanted a job working with children. In September 2025, that goal became a reality when she joined the Celebree team.

Jenna helps supervise and engage preschool students, supports classroom activities, and contributes to a safe, positive learning environment.

“I enjoy working with all the kids in preschool and helping the teachers. It makes my day even better,” Jenna says.

Building Friendships Over Coffee ☕

The Girlfriends Group took friendship-building to Bean Bar for a fun round of Speed Friending! Paired with someone new, participants used conversation prompts to get to know each other - and soon, they were creating their own questions and keeping the conversations going.

The experience built confidence, communication skills, and connections in a real community setting. Everyone participated in a way that worked for them—using facial expressions, gestures, conversation, and facilitator support to connect over shared interests like food and music.
