New partnership alert! Waypoint has partnered with the school in Boston with students with the most profound cognitive & physical disabilities and/or complex medical conditions in the district. The Carter School is a hub of special education in BPS, and we are thrilled to work alongside their team and support one of their primary tools: experiential learning! There are only 24 students in the school and this series of hiking and kayaking programs was one of our biggest undertakings to date ... But most rewarding! With complicated transportation logistics and fine-tuning comfortable wheelchair setups for the trails, we couldn't have done it without the collaborative and open-to-anything efforts of the team at the Carter and especially principal, Mark O'Connor.
