October Monthly Message

October is one of the most vibrant times of the year in the Town of Bermuda Run, with beautiful autumn weather, the County Fair on the Town Green on October 17, and many opportunities for residents to come together. From showcasing our local pride to honoring those who help keep our community safe, this month offers plenty of ways to connect, celebrate, and stay informed.

Save the Date for the County Fair on the Town Green--Saturday, October 17!

Gather your family, invite your neighbors, and come enjoy an afternoon filled with live music, FREE seasonal food, pumpkins, games, and an array of local vendors showcasing specialty crafts, farmers’ market favorites, and more. We hope to see you there!

Town Council Members Win Charity Classic

Congratulations to Town Council members Marty Wilson, Jeff Tedder, Carson Jernigan, and Rod Guthrie, who won the 2026 Charity Classic Golf Tournament at Bermuda Run Country Club. The team posted an impressive score of 52 (that’s 20 under par!) in the Captain’s Choice format.

The Town of Bermuda Run was a proud sponsor of this event, which benefits the Heroes Center and its important mission of supporting veterans and their families.

Voices of Our Community - Town Council Speakers Series



We invite you to join us for the next Town Council Voices of Our Community Speaker Series as we welcome local leaders who share their expertise, experiences, and the work they are doing to strengthen our community. This month we will be joined by Deputy John Hobson, Community Officer for the Town of Bermuda Run.

Fire Prevention Week: October 4-10

Fire Prevention Week is an important reminder for all of us to take simple steps to protect our homes, families, and neighbors. We look forward to welcoming Fire Marshal of Davie County Cameron Webb to the Tuesday, October 13 Town Council meeting where he will discuss the importance of fire prevention. We will also recognize the dedicated firefighters of the Smith Grove and Advance Fire Departments who work tirelessly all year long to keep our community safe.

Pedestrian Pathways Update

Council authorized staff and legal counsel at their September meeting to begin contract negotiations with MBI Builders LLC for the Riverbend Drive Pedestrian Pathways and Blue Heron Trail connection project. Construction is expected to begin towards the end of October.

Early Voting Begins October 15

In-person early voting for the 2026 General Election begins Thursday, October 15, and continues through Saturday, October 31 at 3:00 p.m. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Town Hall serves as an early voting location for all Davie County residents and an Election Day precinct location for all Town residents. During the early voting period, registered voters may cast their ballot at any early voting location within Davie County. On Election Day, registered voters must vote at their precinct location.
