2026 AAUW Marin Silent Auction

A Fundraiser to Support Education for Marin Students!

It's that time again for the AAUW Marin branch auction to support education for Marin students! The AAUW Marin Scholarship Fund, our 501(c)(3) organization, grants:

Scholarships and awards to students at Dominican University and College of Marin,
Sponsorships for 7th grade Marin girls to attend Tech Trek, AAUW of California's summer residential STEM camp, and
Sponsorships for local college women to attend the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) founded by AAUW.

Proceeds from the auction, along with your monetary contributions and corporate grants, fund these local programs.

What can YOU do to help?

Ask for Gift Cards/Certificates for Restaurants, Shops, Services, Activities, Tickets, etc.

These are our best sellers! Let Dottie Burk know which merchants you plan to solicit in order to avoid duplication. She will email you a customizable donor letter you can use when you ask. Contact Dottie at dotburk20@gmail.com

Experiences

Create an experience! Past member-created experiences have included a nature hike, dessert delivery, mahjong lessons, and a tea party. Contact Nancy Lubamersky at nancylubamersky@gmail.com with your ideas.

Gift Baskets

Baskets make great gifts! If you have an idea and a few items for a themed gift basket, we provide the basket, packing material, and wrapping decor, and may be able to add to the contents. Contact Ann Thomas at athomas1@pacbell.net

Jewelry

If you have nice jewelry valued at $50 or more that you would like to donate, contact Mary Mossteller at mcmossteller@mac.com Send her a picture of the item and a description and she can price it.

Unique Items

If you have an item that you think might be appropriate for the auction, send a picture and a description to Leslie Zimring, Auction Co-Chair, at l zimring33@gmail.com

Homemade or Other Small Gift Items

We will offer small gift items, $10 - $25 each, at the Holiday Luncheon on December 5. Food items such as jams, baked goods, candy, soup mixes, and plants have been popular in the past. Contact Pauline Nacamuli with your ideas at pnacamuli@gmail.com

All offers are welcomed and appreciated, but we regret that, to maximize our time and profits, we cannot accept everything.

The Bidding Owl auction site will be open for bidding from November 27 to December 5. We request donations and/or commitments as soon as possible, with a final deadline of Friday November 20.
