TODAY

we walk the narrow life

Hello Anthemers

Let Us Pray

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” - Romans 12:12

Corporate - or Communal - Prayer is essential in the life of a healthy and growing church. There is POWER in public confession, in Asking/Seeking/Knocking as a community of believers.

Please join us for our monthly prayer service this Sunday, October 19th at 6 PM. Let's seek God to encourage each other, remind each other that life is better in community, and thank God for His mercy, grace, and love.

"The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him." - Lam. 3:25

Pastor Rick's Bible Reading Plan

To walk the narrow life as followers of Jesus, we must spend sufficient time reading His Word. For that reason, Pastor Rick has created a Bible reading plan.

Our Old Testament reading for October includes the books of Psalms [47 - 57], Zechariah, and Malachi. Our New Testament reading is the books of Luke and Philippians.

Valor Wrestling

We are excited to announce that Valor Wrestling will proudly participate in the "Graveyard Rumble" tournament on Saturday, October 25th! This thrilling event will take place at Harnett Central High School, located at 2911 Harnett Central Rd., Angier, NC. All our wrestlers are set to showcase their skills, starting at 1 PM, based on their age divisions.

This tournament is open to the public, and we invite you to come and support our athletes. Admission is just $10 for adults, and only $5 for those aged 8 and up.

Marvelous Light Carnival

Scripture tells us that followers of Jesus are children of light, that we are the light of the world, and that we are to walk in the light. Scripture asks, " What does light have to do with darkness?" The answer is "nothing." The world celebrates darkness, evil, and death. That's not our jam. We read in 1 Peter 2:9 that we are to proclaim the excellencies of God, who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. For that reason, on Saturday, October 25th, from 4 - 6 PM, we're hosting our first-ever Marvelous Light Carnival. We want to offer a time for families and children that is safe from scary and dark themes. Children can dress up (there's nothing wrong with dressing up), but their costumes will not include witches, demons, ghosts, etc.

We will have popcorn, cotton candy, face painting, games, and a bouncy house. It will be a fun time!

The Marvelous Light Carnival gives us an opportunity to stand boldly as people of light and life.

Please tell others about our special event.

Rhythm &

Rhyme

Luncheon

If you're fairly new to Anthem Church (coming 6 months or less), we invite you to our Rhythm & Rhyme luncheon on Sunday, November 9th, after our second worship service.

This luncheon is to give people an opportunity to meet key leaders and to learn more about the WHATs, HOWs, and WHYs of Anthem Church.

The luncheon is FREE for you and your family, but we need you to RSVP so that we may ensure we have enough food. Please sign-up here: Rhythm & Rhyme

"We are commissioned, commanded, and called to grow in our ability to display love, faith, and hope!"
