Outdoor Service and Picnic - New Info!

Make plans to join us for our outdoor service and picnic at 9:30 am this Sunday, June 7 (weather permitting). Be sure to bring lawn chairs and sunscreen to stay comfortable and protected. Also, Pastor Stuart will be "paying his debt" from the youth penny wars fundraiser and be showered in ice water!

The church will provide hotdogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers for the picnic. You can sign up online to contribute to the meal and RSVP, go to StPaulsLionville.org/events. If your family likes to play outdoor games, bring your favorite one along. This is always such a delightful event that it would be a great opportunity to invite a friend, neighbor or family member to worship that day! Please note that for those who regularly watch our livestream, due to the complications of offering the livestream outdoors, only the pre-recorded sermon will be offered that morning.

VBS Registration is Now Open!

Get ready for the brightest week of the year! Our Illumination Station Vacation Bible School will run from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon from Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31. Registration is open to all students from age 4 (by 1/1/26) through 5th grade (completed 2025-2026). Adults and children who have completed 5th grade or higher are encouraged to volunteer to help out. More information and registration for campers and volunteers can be found online. Paper forms are available in the narthex.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Collection

All this month we are collecting peanut butter and jelly for the Chester County Food Bank as they prepare to give out their summer student food boxes. PB&J is a big part of the giveaway so that school-age children can easily prepare a lunch for themselves during the summer months when school lunches are not available. Please add PB&J (plastic jars only) to your grocery list to bring to the church though Sunday, June 14, National Children’s Day.

Organist/Accompanist or Assistant Music Director Position

Our team is ready to start receiving application materials for this staff position. You'll notice we are advertising in two different ways. We remain committed to our use of the organ in traditional worship and if needed, will be restructuring the Music Director position to ensure continuity in this area. We will ultimately select the new person and role that best align with the lead applicant's specific skills and heart to ensure the best fit for our music ministry. If you are interested or know someone who might be a good candidate, please check out StPaulsLionville.org/careers to learn more.

Summer Family Fun Night

We’re having another great night of free fun, food and games for all ages on Saturday, June 27 from 5:00-7:00 pm. With the weather turning nicer, we’re looking forward to being outdoors for outside games. We also hope to offer a mini water park if the weather is hotter. We’ll also have crafts, hot dogs, games, ice cream, music and more coming! The event is open to the public, young and old alike! Please let us know if you plan to attend or are able to help us make the event a success by signing up online.

Rejoicing Spirits Service

Our next Rejoicing Spirits service will be on Sunday, June 14 at 4:00 pm.This is an informal, inclusive and adapted service open to all in the community, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, regardless of faith background. The service includes joyous music, singing and brief, meaningful, pastor-led sermons.

Volunteer Schedule for Fall

We will be putting together the volunteer schedule for September through November later this month. This is a great time to jump in as a new volunteer or to try out a new volunteer role! Just contact Maureen at maureen@stpaulslionville.org to be added as a volunteer or to a new role. Also, if you know you are unavailable to serve on a particular date, please send that info so we can avoiding scheduling you at that time. Thanks so much!

Help Lead Worship Behind the Scenes!

St. Paul’s is looking for volunteers to join our Worship Tech Team to help us "worship in spirit and truth." By joining this team, you’ll provide needed support for the worship team, allowing our audio technicians to focus their expertise on mastering the sound while you handle the visuals. You’ll play a vital role by timing slide transitions to stay just ahead of the congregation, ensuring everyone can sing and speak along confidently.

  • The Perks: Enjoy Dave’s great company and reserved balcony seating with the best view in the house while you serve!
  • The Role: Advance slides in OBS and assist with technical needs during worship.
  • The Commitment: Serve once every 4–6 weeks. An annual commitment is preferred for continuity.
  • Requirements: Attention to detail, basic tech skills, and a heart for our mission.
  • Training: Full support provided by our Director of Music and Worship Technician.

Children's Bulletins Available

Did you know that each week there are bulletins available just for children? Coordinated with that day’s readings, the children’s bulletins give children activities to engage them in Bible themes. Children’s bulletins can be found in the pamphlet holder on the table near the children’s busy bags in the narthex.

Crafters' Summer Break

The Crafters will be taking a break for the summer after their Wednesday, June 3 meeting. Meetings will resume Wednesday, September 9 at 10:00 am. Everyone is welcome!

June 7: Outside Service

Celebrating our Graduates!

Gathering Song: All Are Welcome vs. 1-3

All are welcome in this place

The lyrics to Marty Haugen's All Are Welcome serve as a reminder to our graduates that no matter where life takes them, St. Paul's remains a safe place of refuge for them. June is also a significant month for honoring diverse identities, commemorating history, and fostering inclusion; therefore, on this first Sunday in June, let us join in song together to promote Jesus' welcoming message of love to all!

Song of the Day: 10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord)

God's mercy and love through adversity is a central theme in this contemporary Christian selection, based on Psalm 103. Life after graduation can be an exciting yet challenging time, and this song reminds us to remain faithful in God's boundless patience and kindness.

Sending Song: Lift My Eyes

I understand this is a favorite at St. Paul's, and I look forward to sharing the message of this song together as we sing on June 7th!
