Your Essential Thamesfield Update
Dear residents we hope you are well.

As your local councillors we have been working hard behind the scenes to help the local community here in Thamesfield throughout the pandemic.

Below you can find details of some of the work we’ve been doing.

We always enjoy hearing from residents, so please get in touch with any suggestions or anything we can do to help.

Best wishes

Mike, Rosemary, John
Getting Better Broadband
Residents from Montserrat and Burstock Roads contacted your councillors to say that despite living near the telephone exchange they could not get superfast broadband as Openreach did not have a “Fibre to the Cabinet” service on these streets.

Councillors collected signatures from over 150 households to present to the council as well as writing to the CEO of Openreach, who Councillor John Locker says has now promised to fix the problem.
Hammersmith Bridge Update

Your Councillors understand the frustration caused by the closure of Hammersmith Bridge, pushing unnecessary traffic onto Putney’s roads. We have lobbied for action and supported a petition sent to the London Mayor.

The Mayor and Labour-run Hammersmith & Fulham Council should have fixed the bridge, but due to their inaction, the Government has had to set up ataskforce on repairing the bridge and finding temporary solutions to get residents across the river.
Call For Action Over Crime
Thamesfield residents have expressed concerns about crime, after two recent robberies by armed moped muggers, plus anti-social behaviour.

Councillor Mike Ryder, who has campaigned to keep Putney police up to strength, contacted the borough police commander urging extra patrols.
