Sheep Shearing Field Trip Report

We had such an enjoyable sheep shearing field trip to Vineyard Valais last Wednesday. Hopefully it was the 1st of many!

I loved gaining a broader understanding of the entire farm to fiber experience. And it’s so wonderful to know that Vineyard Valais is run by a lifelong vet, Dr. Autumn Badelt Fanning and her experienced team of agricultural and veterinary technicians.

And Brittany App is such a talented sheep shearer! Her passion and fitness in shearing the sheep was so admirable and we didn’t see a single nick ;-)

Vineyard Valais is right across the road from the Brecon Estate Winery so we were treated to a neighborly wine tasting as part of the event! What a happy surprise! I'm hoping to host Brecon Estate Winery for an upcoming Sip & Stitch!

We had an educational Level 1 Math for Knitters Zoom class yesterday. There's still room in the Level 2 Math for Knitters Zoom class that meets in 2 weeks on Saturday October 31st from 9-11AM.
