Sponsored by California Department of Health Care Services Behavioral Health Integration grant funding, and in partnership with Anthem & Beacon, the UCSF Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Portal (CAPP) and the Fresno Madera Medical Society (FMMS) are hosting a one-day, live "Pediatric Mental Health Boot Camp" for pediatric primary care providers at United Health Centers in Fresno on September 24, 2022, with CME & MOC credit available. 

Facilitated by experienced UCSF pediatric & child psychiatry faculty who provide clinical care and consultation in primary clinics, FQHCs and school-based health centers, and who routinely teach and consult with inter-professional teams and learners, this in-person ‘boot-camp’ will engage attendees in interactive didactics and case-based small- and large-group discussion.  Upon completion, attendees will feel more skilled and confident in applying their knowledge to real-life clinical presentations of 


  • ADHD with comorbidities elevated ACEs, anxiety, disruptive behavior and learning challenges
  • Anxiety, depression & suicide risk assessment in children and adolescents, including both psychosocial and pharmacological treatments
  • Role of mental health stigma in practice
  • Communication strategies for engaging patients and families in collaborative decision-making around mental health concerns.
