Outsiders : Living As Strangers In A Hostile World

This week, we are reminded that because we belong to Christ, we are called to live differently in a world that may be hostile to our faith. We remember our identity in Christ, honor God and others, and respond to unfairness and suffering in ways that reflect Jesus. Christ gives us the perfect example of faithful suffering as He refuses retaliation, trusts God with justice, and gives Himself for our salvation. As we follow His steps, we find hope in knowing that our Shepherd has gone before us and continues to walk with us.

Here are the contribution numbers thru 08/31/2026.

Contributions Received $437,876

Contributions Budgeted $647,621

Contributions Under Budget $209,745

This represents 32% below budgeted giving.

God is moving at Montgomery Community Church!

God is moving in powerful ways across our church family! Last week, we gathered for our Night of Worship and Documentary Premier to celebrate all that He has done through the faithful people of MCC. We honored those quiet servants who never seek the spotlight, but faithfully serve out of pure love for Christ.

We are standing on an 84-year foundation built firmly on Jesus—so what comes next? This is an invitation for our entire church family to step up together. In Matthew 6:19–20, Jesus reminds us not to store up earthly treasures that fade, but to invest in what lasts for eternity. Your generosity is actively changing lives every day.

Lead Pastor Updates

We are grateful to be entering the next stage of discernment in our Lead Pastor search.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve had the opportunity to get to know our candidates through interviews, assessments, reference checks, and extended time together in person.

As we prayerfully consider all that we’ve learned, the LPCC remains committed to seeking God’s wisdom, listening carefully to His leading, and moving forward with unity and clarity.

We’re incredibly grateful for the many ways you have prayed for and encouraged us throughout this process. Please continue praying with us as we seek God’s direction in these important next steps.

If you have questions or insights you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you.

Weekly Prayer Prompt: Pray for wisdom, unity, and clear direction as the LPCC enters this next stage of discernment.

Student Fall Retreat - November 20-22

This year, we are diving deep into TRUTH. We’re excited to welcome Peter Pizzuto and the Y2B team, who will be leading our main sessions and breakouts. They’ll be tackling tough, crucial questions students face today:

- Identity & Worldview: Who are you? What is truth? Are there moral absolutes?

- Apologetics: What evidence is there that God exists? Is the Bible truly trustworthy?

- Hard Questions: Why is there so much evil in the world?

- Worship Experience: With our new LED Wall and the return of our popular multi-station worship setup on Saturday night, we are creating an incredible environment to encounter God.

- Epic Activities: Zip line, giant swing, bonfires, large group games, sports (basketball, volleyball, Football, Dodgeball, etc), and plenty of hangout time.

- Extras: A coffee trailer, snack shop, t-shirt store, and more!

For 7-12 graders - Cost is $165
