Memorial Celebrates First
Home Football Game🏈🐾
This past Friday was a big milestone for Frenship Memorial High School as the Panthers hosted their first-ever varsity home football game!
The celebration started with the annual Spirit Day, as members of the football, cheer and pom squads visited our elementary schools to help get everyone ready for game night. Later, MHS students and staff brought the energy to their pep rally, building excitement for the big matchup.
| | Bennett Elementary Staff Give Back with Annual Service Project | Bennett Elementary staff kicked off the school year by giving back to the Wolfforth community through their annual service project. This year, staff came together to support residents and staff at the Villa in Wolfforth Assisted Living Home with donated items and messages of encouragement. | Chief Mendoza Completes Advanced School Safety Training | Earlier this month, Frenship Police Chief Ray Mendoza graduated from the Texas School Safety Center’s School-Based Law Enforcement Master Training Class #8 in San Marcos! The 128-hour training focused on advanced school safety and security strategies, including youth mental health, suicide prevention, bullying and cyberbullying, gang awareness, social media investigations, strategic planning, and effective leadership. We’re proud of Chief Mendoza’s commitment to professional growth and his continued dedication to keeping our students, staff, and campuses safe! | Learning Justice Beyond the Classroom | Memorial High School students in the Court Systems class recently took their learning beyond the classroom with a firsthand look at the criminal justice system at the Lubbock County Courthouse. Students observed a murder trial, hearing opening statements, witness testimony, and the jury’s guilty verdict. The experience gave students interested in law enforcement and criminal justice a real-world look at how evidence collection, report writing, and courtroom testimony come together in a case. Students also saw the teamwork between law enforcement officers, attorneys, court personnel and other professionals that helps serve and protect the Lubbock community. | | | Congrats to our Convocation Raffle Winners! | We kicked off the school year with a little extra excitement at Convocation! Congratulations to this year’s raffle winners, who took home prizes including a Mini Bluetooth Projector, American Express gift cards, retail gift cards, a $250 United Supermarkets gift card, Flowers of the Month subscription, and tickets to the Frenship Foundation's Evening in Big Cat Country. A special thank you to our generous sponsors for helping us celebrate and welcome our Frenship staff back for another great school year! | Nominate your Teacher for the Mrs. Baird's Teacher on the Rise | Frenship students: Do you have an outstanding teacher who goes above and beyond? Nominate them for Mrs. Baird’s Teacher on the Rise! If selected, you’ll receive a $50 gift card, while your teacher will receive a $100 United Supermarkets gift card and a meal for two at the Texas Tech Club! Nominate your favorite teacher and help give them the recognition they deserve! | The Toot’n Totum Spirit Pump is back for another school year! When you fill up at Pump #15 or #16 at the Toot’n Totum on 82nd Street and Upland, $0.05 per gallon will be donated directly to Frenship High School and Memorial High School. Every gallon helps support school safety and security across Frenship ISD. Your next tank of gas can help make a difference! | | | Frenship Foundation Gifts First Year Teachers $200 Gift Cards | | This year, the Frenship Foundation for Leadership gifted every Frenship first-year teacher a $200 gift card to help purchase supplies and get their classrooms ready for the school year.
