Bronco families,

It has been a whirlwind of a year that has presented our Bronco community with many challenges, but has also given us the opportunity to show that we can persevere through just about anything. I'm happy to provide the following important updates regarding this year's commencement ceremonies, fall 2021 semester, and more!
Commencement

Cal Poly Pomona has announced plans for drive-in commencement ceremonies at Fairplex, in addition to virtual ceremonies for the class of 2020 and the class of 2021. Registration to attend the ceremonies is required and will close on April 26 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

Registration for the event is required by state public health guidelines. Late registration and "walk ins" will not be allowed. After registration closes, the commencement schedule may be updated to meet occupancy and space limitations at the venue.

The in person, drive-in events will take place on Thursday, May 20 through Sunday, May 23 at Fairplex in Pomona. The next weekend, the virtual ceremonies will take place Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30. Similar to a drive-in movie experience, the drive-in commencement will include a stage and two large video screens. Graduates and their guests (one car per graduate) will drive to Fairplex, park and join in the 90-minute celebration. Diploma covers will be distributed at the event. Pending county approval, graduates will be able to exit their vehicles and cross the stage.

Please visit our commencement website to stay up-to-date on all things related to this wonderful ceremony.
More In-Person Classes for the Fall Semester

In light of recent promising developments in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our university is taking steps to expand the amount of in-person instruction planned for the fall semester. In order to accommodate this increase, the start of Fall registration for continuing students will be pushed back to Monday, April 19. Please note: new incoming Freshmen and Transfer students will register during their scheduled orientation time.

Your student can find their revised enrollment appointment for Fall 2021 by logging into their Bronco Direct Student Center.

Please direct any questions to the Registrar's Office or the Bronco Advising Center.
