New Member Quarterly Roundtable

Sasha will be hosting a quarterly roundtable beginning on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 1 pm ET. Consider it as a new member orientation of sorts. We'll cover creating your online account, adding people and access levels, what's found in your Member Compass dashboard, member only resources, event registration, how to use the Member Directory, gaining access to the free MBI training, and more. Even if you're not a new member, if you're not taking full advantage of everything listed here, you'll want to join us to learn how. Register now!
MBMA is Asking for Our Participation!
One-Question Quarterly Survey to Rate your Metal Building Supplier

MBMA is excited to launch their newest quarterly survey this month: Net Promoter Score or NPS. NPS is a simple one-question survey that asks, “How likely are you to recommend your metal building supplier to a friend or colleague?” The survey is a great tool for metal building erectors to provide feedback to their suppliers and for suppliers to measure how they are doing and how they can improve.

MBMA is pleased to be working with MBCEA on the survey. The survey link will be emailed directly to MBCEA members from Ljerka Marini, MBMA’s Statistical Services Manager. Erectors will have the opportunity to rate up to five different suppliers each quarter.

Results of the survey will be compiled into a general report with an industry-average NPS. All MBMA members and all participating MBCEA members will receive a copy of the general report. Additionally, MBMA members that get at least five ratings will receive their company-specific NPS. As an added thank you, participating MBCEA members will also receive the latest monthly MBMA Business Conditions report.

If you have any questions on the NPS survey, feel free to reach out to Tony Bouquot, MBMA General Manager directly. Thank you in advance for your participation.
Roof Live Load Study

A team of researchers from UMass Amherst is investigating live loads on low-slope (2:12 and less) roofs (roof live loads – RLL). The goal of this project is to assess whether current provisions for RLL, which specify a 20 lb/ft2 (psf) load, correctly capture the intensity and distribution of potential loads and, if not, to propose a new value for the RLL intensity. Historically, live load intensities (e.g. 50 psf for interior office spaces) have been determined through a combination of field surveys, questionnaires and focus groups, and modeling. This was not done for RLL. This questionnaire represents a preliminary effort to gather information from building owners, maintainers and other interested parties to help inform assessment of current RLL provisions.

Last Call for Pioneers Club Applications

Please submit the name of a colleague or yourself for selection to the MBCEA Pioneers Club.

The distinct purpose behind the creation of this important Pioneers Club is the association’s determination to give credit and recognition to metal building contractors and erectors who have been such for at least 25 consecutive years.

Accepted applications will become a permanent part of the history of our industry. The celebrated people who are selected as members of the Pioneers Club will be asked to attend the 54th Annual MBCEA Conference at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel in Nashville TN on May 8-10, 2023, to accept the prestigious award.
Just a few Exhibitor Booths left!

Exhibitor registration is now open for the 54th Annual MBCEA Conference and MBMA Spring Meeting, May 8-10, 2023, in Nashville. Attendees include decision-makers from metal building contractor and erector companies, manufacturers and suppliers. Display your latest products, advertise your services, let your potential customers know how you can make their lives easier! The exhibit hall will be open during mealtimes, giving you a full audience.

"Really great work – wonderful venue, good discussions, really valuable networking. Worth the time and travel to participate."

"Just wanted to thank each of you for your hospitality this past week in Tucson. We had a great time and most importantly, made some new business acquaintances that should prove to be mutually beneficial."

While you're at it, register for the MBCEA/MBMA Golf Tournament to be held at the end of the show on Wednesday afternoon, May 10, at the Gaylord Springs. Learn more on our Event page. A few sponsorship opportunities are still available.
