Summer Bucket List:

Snowflakes ® Family Edition

Who knew wanting to be a mom or dad could involve such a roller coaster—so many highs, so many lows? Your life can start revolving around infertility appointments, blood draws, ultrasounds, tests, surgeries, financial stress, and relationship strain... all for the chance to have something that so many people seem to attain so easily.

If that's your story, we hope this newsletter reminds you to cherish this season, no matter how difficult it may be. While you're waiting, hoping, growing, and dreaming, don't forget to make memories along the way. Here is a list of summer ideas for families in all stages of life...

For Families Considering Placing Embryos for Adoption

  • Take a moment to reflect on your embryos' story and the hope they represent.
  • Write down three things you hope for the future family who may receive your embryos.
  • Create a summer memory with your children and discuss the many ways families are formed.
  • Take a family photo to remember this season of your journey.

For Waiting Adoptive Families

  • Create a "hope box" filled with notes, prayers, and keepsakes for your future child.
  • Start a journal documenting your embryo adoption journey.
  • Read a book about adoption, attachment, or parenting.
  • Make a list of family traditions you'd like to start one day.

For Families Preparing for a Frozen Embryo Transfer

  • Plan a relaxing self-care day before your transfer.
  • Write a letter to your future child.
  • Create a playlist of encouraging songs.
  • Schedule a special date night or family outing.
  • Borrow your nieces and nephews, and babysit!

For Snowflakes Families Raising Children

  • Have a family picnic.
  • Read your child's adoption story together.
  • Create a summer photo album.
  • Visit a local park you've never explored before.
  • Ask your child what adventure they'd like to have this summer.
  • Write a children's book
  • Make a "family favorites" list to remember this season.

For Everyone in the Snowflakes Community

  • Watch a sunset with someone you love.
  • Perform one act of kindness for another family.
  • Make a summer memory that has nothing to do with schedules, appointments, or to-do lists.
  • Celebrate how far you've come in your journey.

As you enjoy the summer months, don't forget to make room for joy. Recharge. Embrace gratitude. Spend time with the people you love. Have a cookout, take a day trip, watch a sunset, or simply enjoy a quiet evening on the porch.

No matter where you are in your journey, we hope and pray that one day you'll be able to look back and understand why the road unfolded the way it did. Until then, keep holding on to hope and celebrating the small moments along the way.

Hey Fellas, This One's for You!

This month is all about you!

In June we celebrate Father’s Day, recognize Men’s Health Awareness, and honor Men’s Fertility Month. We want to take a moment to say: we see you.

Infertility is a journey that affects both partners. While many of the appointments, procedures, and conversations may focus on your spouse, we know men carry their own emotions, questions, and challenges too.

You may feel the pressure to be strong, stay positive, and support everyone else, even when you’re carrying your own disappointment, fear, or uncertainty. You may not always know what to say or how to help, but your presence matters.

To the men who sit in waiting rooms, hold hands through hard days, encourage their wives, pray through the unknown, and continue showing up, you are an important part of this story.

Men’s Fertility Toolkit

Your health matters too. Whether you are supporting your partner, navigating fertility questions, or simply focusing on your own well-being, taking care of yourself is an important part of the journey.

Be proactive about your health

Schedule regular check-ups, ask questions, and talk with your doctor about fertility and reproductive health.

Learn about male fertility

Understanding sperm health, lifestyle factors, and fertility challenges can help you feel more informed and prepared. Snowflakes has published a video featuring clients who have experienced male factor infertility.

Don’t carry it alone

Talk with someone you trust, maybe a friend, mentor, pastor, counselor, or support group. Having a place to process your thoughts and emotions matters.

Support your partner while caring for yourself

Attend appointments when possible, celebrate small victories, make time for connection, and remember that your health and emotions matter too.

This month, we celebrate you. Take care of yourself, make time for your health, and remember that your role, your voice, and your journey matter too.

June is busting all over...
