Open Bible in Liberia celebrated 83 years of ministry this past October and its 66th annual conference in January of 2019. This convention was held at First Church in Buchanan, Liberia. The schedule was packed from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. starting with morning devotions, teaching seminars, business sessions, and evangelistic services. We had the opportunity to speak on the past, present, and future of Open Bible in Liberia. On Memorial Night we shared pictures from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s which resulted in shouts of excitement. We then had the opportunity to discuss the working relationship with the department of Global Missions of Open Bible Churches. We then helped to cast vision and purpose for the churches here. The closing Thanksgiving service was held on Sunday, January 20th which included a parade complete with band and choir. Ian had the opportunity to play the drums during a part of the closing five hour service.
