A big thank you to Carolyn Richardson for providing a delicious dinner of Publix subs and chicken, and to Marina Ceballos for leading the group in a thoughtful waste audit. I’ve attached an article that highlights the importance of activism and the positive impact it can have on youth. The world was God’s first creation, and it is our responsibility to steward that creation, preserving and nurturing it so that it thrives for generations to come.

Peace,

Luke

GT Parking Lot Fundraiser Update

The Georgia Tech game on 11/22 has been announced as a 7:00 PM kickoff. Because of the late start time, we will not be hosting the parking lot fundraiser. Our priority is the safety of our youth, and having them outside as it gets dark is not in their best idea. While the parking lot fundraiser is a great source of revenue for the pilgrimage, we’re excited to explore other creative ways to raise funds! Some ideas include:

  • Bake sale
  • Custom calendar
  • Group babysitting

We’d love to hear your suggestions too! A full pilgrimage update will be shared on Monday

High School Bible Study

Wednesday, December 10th

(2nd Wednesday of Each Month)

6:00-7:30

It was great being with the four youth who were able to make it to Bible study on Wednesday Night! Chef Sam cooked a delicious Asian cuisine and we had a rich discussion about Jesus Healing on the Sabbath. The next Y'all Saints' Bible Study, Dec. 10th, from 6:00–7:30 PM, the 2nd Wednesday of each month so you can go ahead and mark it on the calendar. We will meet in the lobby of Ellis Hall at 6pm before attending Wednesday Night Supper.

If you're in high school, come join us for a relaxed, meaningful space to explore your faith. We might read scripture, watch a movie, and more as a way to dive into our faith. This group is a quieter, more reflective alternative to Sunday night programming. We'd love to see you!

Threads Donation Drive

Threads is currently collecting gently used coats for all ages and genders, as well as new boys’ and girls’ underwear. If you have items to donate, please bring them to the church, I’ll make sure they get delivered to Threads.

Prefer to shop online? You can support Threads by purchasing directly from their Amazon Wishlist

Volunteer Opportunity

To help build stronger connections and make this year meaningful for our youth, I’ve put together a Sign-Up Genius and a Google Doc with a variety of ways you can get involved in youth ministry. The Google Doc lists all the volunteer roles—please check the boxes for anything you're comfortable signing up for. The Sign-Up Genius includes specific dates and time slots for each opportunity.

Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or looking to jump in for the first time, there’s something for everyone:

Volunteer Roles Available:

  • Provide Dinner for Sunday Night Youth Group (SNL & Y'all Saints'): Help feed our hungry youth by cooking, ordering, or bringing dinner. Fan favorites include Moe’s and Papa John’s Pizza—always a hit! Please note you do not have to bring a separate dinner for SNL and Y'all Saints, because we all eat together!

  • Sunday Formation Teacher: Join a team of volunteers to lead Sunday morning formation. Don’t worry—you won’t be doing it alone. We’re building a team-based structure to make it collaborative and low-pressure, even for first-time teachers.

  • Sunday Greeters (Morning and Evening): A warm hello makes all the difference. Greeters help our youth feel seen and welcomed as they arrive for programming.

  • Drivers & Chaperones for Local Outings: Occasionally, we’ll head off-site for events like bowling, laser tag, Braves games, or other local activities. We’re looking for adults willing to drive and actively participate—whether that means scoring strikes or just being a supportive presence.

  • Retreat Drivers & Chaperones: If you’re able to spend a weekend away, we’d love to have you join us as a chaperone or driver. It’s a chance to connect deeply with our youth and experience God’s presence in new ways.

  • Home Gathering Hosts: We’re looking for hosts willing to open their homes for small-group gatherings, game nights, or seasonal celebrations. You choose what you’re comfortable hosting.

  • Letter Writing: Help send notes and flyers to members in our community

We’re looking forward to an amazing year together, and I’m so grateful for your time, support, and energy as we continue building a meaningful youth community!

Our Diocese and All Saints' take seriously the safety of all our children. If you volunteer with Children or Youth, you must take the Safeguarding God's Children training.

To take the online training - just go to Safe Church Training, check out the dates available, and sign up!

Even if you don't work with Children or Youth, you are encouraged to get trained - the more we know, the safer our kids are.

The Diocese of Atlanta does Zoom training also and you can sign up for one of these.
