Pastor Trudy's Message

Hannah's prayer.  We are fast forwarding from the Exodus and wilderness time to Hannah's personal wilderness in the opening chapter of 1 Samuel. She is the second wife of Elkanah and though she is his favorite wife, she has no children. She prays for a child...and in her prayer she vows to give that child over in service to the Lord. When God answers our prayers, do we turn the answer back over to God?

Mighty and Loving God, You heard Hannah's prayer and responded. But that wasn't the end! Help us to remember not to stop when our prayer has been answered, but to continue to pray for You to use us and our prayers to glorify You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

WONDERING...

SHHH! Don't tell Pastor Trudy! 😉 October is Pastor Appreciation Month! For the rest of the month, in the pews you will find cards where you can write Pastor Trudy a note (or doodle!) of gratitude for all that she does at GLC. Leave your note in the jar in the narthex.
